Food banks

...the voice of hunger in York Region

York Region Food Network was originally formed in 1986 for the purpose of coordinating regional food drives. Now the Food Network functions in a networking role with York Region food banks, acting as the regional contact for information and referrals, providing a local perspective on food security issues, and coordinating semi annual food drives and the annual Daily Bread food bank user survey in York Region.

How often can someone use the food bank?
Because of limited food supplies, most food banks limit visits to once a month.

What do people actually receive at the food bank?
